Rain!!
We received one-half inch of rain early this morning.  Hallelujah!  Keep praying for more.

Update on the apple crop
The apple orchards are maturing, and although the heat and drought have compromised the crop, we’re just excited to have apples and apple products again!  We plan to begin picking in the next week or two.  We’ll let you know as it draws closer in case your family wants to join the festivities.

Stories from the farm
Ken:  Judy and I went to Missouri this week to pick up fencing supplies and mineral for the livestock.  Prior to the trip, we had experienced some van trouble and were not surprised by some minor hiccups along the way (one fixed by a wire extracted from a 1934 auto).  However, when we pulled in the driveway back at home, the van quit completely and has yet to be revived.  We had to chuckle at God’s humor– allowing us to experience challenges but making sure we arrived safely home.
