New items in the farm store
All-natural fresh strawberries– sold by the pint, these little gems go fast

Cuts of beef– a full selection of cuts is again available, including 50 lb boxes

Cookies– if you favored our frozen cookie dough, these are even better.  Already baked, they’re ready to pop into your mouth!  In two flavors– oatmeal and oatmeal raisin– they’re made from our fantastic all-grass butter and other healthy ingredients.  Taste them for yourself at the annual party (see below).

Wanted:  Wide-mouth canning jars
We will soon begin processing cabbage into sauerkraut, which requires wide-mouth, quart canning jars.  Do you have some you have accumulated?  It would help us keep our cost down… and if you buy sauerkraut, you’ll get the jar right back!

Its nearly party time!
Don’t miss our annual customer party on Monday, May 28!  Enjoy hay rides around the farm, a self-guided walking tour, a big sand pile for the kids, and a yummy lunch featuring JaKo products.  Come anytime after 10:00 am; lunch will be served at 12:00 noon.  Bring your family, lawn chairs or picnic blankets, and enjoy a day in the country with like-minded folks.

Due to Robyn & Daniel’s wedding on the farm, the farm store will be closed on Sunday, May 27.

Stories from the farm
This week while picking strawberries we found a bird nest tucked down in between two strawberry plants.  Every time we pick we stop and examine the progress of the eggs.  We even added one red, ripe “egg” to the nest, but it was gone the next time we picked.  Hope all goes well for the bird family.
