    Farm store closed TOMORROW
    We will be hosting Daniel & Robyn’s wedding tomorrow on the farm; therefore, the store will be closed.

    Farm party Monday
    See you Monday, May 28 for food, fun, hay rack rides, rock climbing in the silo, and fellowship with like-minded folks.  Come anytime after 10:00 am, with lunch served at noon.  Bring your friends… and see you there!

    Sauerkraut returns to the farm store
    ‘Tis the season once again for lacto-fermented sauerkrautFind it in the glass-door refrigerator beside the cheeses.

    Lacto-fermentation is a process of food preservation that uses lactic acid.  The lactobacilli increases digestibility and vitamin levels in fruits and vegetables.

    What’s happening in the nationwide natural food community
    As “natural foodies,” its important to be aware of what our counterparts around the country face because of purchasing raw/natural food.  (Read a California raw milk story here.)  At JaKo, we have not yet experienced governmental intimidation, but have discussed our rights and response with several lawyer customers.
