**Farm Fresh Weekly**

Thanks for a great spring farm tour!
Over 100 people visited the farm yesterday to enjoy learning how we raise our animals, holding baby chicks, and eating healthy food. We debuted a sweetened vanilla yogurt that got rave reviews, so we will continue to make it available in our sales room. If you weren't here yesterday, be sure to buy a quart next time you come to the farm.

Lambs came last Friday
Thirty-nine lambs joined the farm last Friday. They are grazing on pasture and will be ready to butcher in four to six months.

Dry weather
We are extremely dry right now, as many of you witnessed yesterday. We've never seen a spring so dry... this type of drought acts more like August weather. However, thanks to our new irrigation system, we hope to be able to water the pastures next week.

Butchering chickens on Saturday
We are butchering another batch of chickens on Saturday, June 3. Come after 4:00 pm if you'd like fresh chicken, available for $2.00/lb.

"Cream of the Crop" club
Four new people earned membership in the "Cream of the Crop" club this month. Thanks to our very loyal customers!

Spring farm tour is this Saturday!
Go on a hayrack ride!  See the baby calves, pigs, and chickens!  Enjoy the quietness of the country!

Bring a friend and introduce them to quality food and how we produce it.  A picnic lunch will be served from 11:30am to 1:00pm ($2/adult, $1/child).  Come and go as you like from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Production is stable
Many of you have commented that you don't tell your friends about us because you are afraid that we'll run out of products.  As we have mentioned previously, we are increasing production of all products this year (so far this spring, several sides of beef and 380 chickens in the freezer).  We feel confident that we can meet increased demand.  So go ahead-- share the good word about healthy food!

Fresh chicken this week
We will butcher chicken this Thursday. It will most likely take us all day so we ask that you wait until at least 5 pm to come if you want fresh birds. We will also have them available fresh on Friday. Price this year is $2/lb fresh and $2.25 frozen

Products back on the shelves
A week ago we brought home steaks from the butcher. These can be found in the chest freezer. We also were able to purchase more honey so have that and ice cream available.

New product testing: Yogurt
We made a batch of yogurt this past week and have placed it in the top of the glass door refrigerator. This batch is free for your feed back. Please let us know what you think.

Temporarily out of Honey
We are temporarily out of honey but we're working on finding more. Sorry for the inconvenience -- we miss it too! Because of this, ice cream will be delayed until we find more honey.

Ground Beef and Roasts now available
Ground beef and roasts can now be found in the chest freezers on the East wall. Help yourself soon as these are popular items.

Spring farm tour
The calves are frolicking, the piglets are rooting and the baby chicks are chirping. The children both young and old will want to come and observe. Be sure and mark your calendars for our Spring farm tour Saturday, May 27 from 10 am to 3 pm. We will have hay rack rides to view the animals, enjoy the quietness of the country, serve a picnic lunch (for a small fee) and answer questions. You can come and go as you like.
